An evangelistic outreach into a tribal area void of any Christian influence has led to the establishment of a new church. Read the story ...
Pastor P writes: "By the grace of God and your valuable prayers we could go to a tribal village for the outreach with 23 young people carrying musical instruments, sound system, lighting, generator and chairs etc.. in a rented vehicle.
On that day it was heavy rain in our area and the television channels broadcast that the cyclone will be continued for the coming 48 hours. But we all decided to go even though the terrible rain comes since we have prayers warriors ( you ) behind us to ask God our protection.
We started here at 11am and reached the village at 4 pm. Miraculously, no rain has stopped us because when we started the rain was stopped and the climate was good no hot, no rain. It was pleasant climate. And at 4 pm we took our lunch and then started to climb the mountain and cross the river to reach our destination.
We all crossed the river carrying our equipment in the water. The depth of the water was up to our waist. After crossing the river we had to climb another mountain on the other side of the river. And we could reach that village at 6 pm.
The population in the village was 60 families only and all the houses were made up of thatched roofs. People in that village are illiterates and speak tribal language mixed with our native language. They could understand our language. That village was never evangelized. There was no pastor, no church, no preaching of salvation. Since it is very far and to reach that village crossing rivers and mountains people, do not go there and the people in that village do not know about the salvation and the restitution of the sin, redemption.
When we reached that village we went to every door and invited all the villagers to come for the gospel meeting in the center of their village. We started the gospel meeting at 7:30 pm an all the villagers (75 50 children) including children. The president of that village attended the prayer meeting. The Holy Spirit of God lead me to preach on ‘what is after death’ through Luke 16: 19-31. They listened the Word with much interest since they had not heard the gospel of salvation till that day.
After the meting was over the villagers came for prayer and said till that day they did not know what would happen after death. Most of the people of that village showed willingness to receive Jesus as their Saviour. They asked us to start prayer gathering in that village and they would provide a piece of land to start church. We felt very happy when we heard such a great response from that people.
This is because of your most valuable prayers we could go there to share the Good News to that village. We are so grateful to you all for your most valuable prayers for the outreach ministries. I send some pictures of that outreach ministries along with this email. Please remember that village in your valuable prayers so that church should be started and all the people of that village be saved. And please pray that this effective ministry be continued every month.
Thanking you so much,
Most sincerely yours in Christ Jesus
Pastor P.
